Traveling
Traveling is something that I love to do; because if you
think about it, it is probably the only thing that we are going to take with us the
day we die. Experiences, memories and those precious moments that we get to
enjoy when we discover something new, are the essence of life. I have been
fortunate enough to live in 3 different countries during my childhood and my
teenage years. I have made many friends from different nationalities and
different cultures, and it has helped learn a lot from others. I been lucky to
get to experience their cuisine, habits, night life, beaches and some of the
most beautiful natural sights. It also has turned me into a cultural salad. I
have also traveled to many states here in the U.S, and I must say that this is
a very beautiful country. I try to take a trip every year, and if possible 2 or
3 times a year, nationally or overseas. I recently returned from a trip to the
Dominican Republic, I traveled to DR at least once every two years. This time,
not only I visited family members like I always do, but I also got to see some
different parts of the country that I had not seen before. My favorite part of
the trip was probably, getting to see Las Terrenas in Samana. Las Terrenas is a
gorgeous sea town in the north of the country. I have been to many different beaches
during my lifetime, but I must say that in Las Terrenas, I found some of the
most beautiful beaches on earth, and the temperature of the water was pretty
much perfect…not too hot, not too cold. The vibe of the inhabitants was also
something that I liked very much. The town is developed to a good level where
you can find anything that a person might need, but it is not overdeveloped or
overpopulated. I must say that at the moment….Las Terrenas felt like a perfect
place to retire.
